TVGuide.com is reporting on some television stars whose just-for-fun jam band has been made into a fundraising vehicle.

The aptly-named Band from TV consists of House’s Hugh Laurie (piano), Heroes‘ Greg Grunberg (drums), Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher on vocals and numerous others. Each band member represents a different charity, with all proceeds being split among the various beneficiaries. According to Grunberg in the article, the band generates “a lot of money.”

Band from TV’s debut CD is called Hoggin All the Covers.
